“For me, the history of arboriculture has always felt quite segmented. This series brings those different stories, people and moments together in one place — and that’s what makes it so valuable.”

Some of the most significant advances in arboriculture have come from climbers themselves, identifying problems and finding better ways to work. Kevin Bingham's invention of the original Rope Runne.r is a perfect example. Through Notch Equipment, we had the opportunity to work directly with Kevin to develop the Rope Runner Pro, taking his original concept even further. That collaboration reflects what we believe in at Vertical Supply Group: listening to the people who use our equipment and helping turn their ideas into practical solutions. Supporting The Arborist: Innovators and Influencers is a natural extension of that belief, recognising the individuals and ideas that have shaped the way we work in the trees todayArbostar

Being a part of this documentary was really important to us. It tells the story of how this profession came to life, how it evolved, and how it has grown into the industry we know today. The ropes, the gear and the community are all driven by innovation and curiosity. And that is what makes this industry so alive. "The Arborist" captured our past so we can focus on shaping the future."

When I was first asked if I wanted to partner with The Arborist, my initial thought was, what’s in it for us as a brand? But that question lasted only a few minutes. Once I realised what the project was truly about, I completely got it. What really made me want to get Först involved, though, was knowing that the visual quality of the series would match the depth of its content. Having worked with Sim and Phil before and seen their work, I knew exactly what to expect.

When I got a preview, I knew we had made the right decision. The considered shots, the choice of subjects, and the story being told visually—not just in words, all made perfect sense. As a brand, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to be present in this industry, and supporting a project like this felt like an obvious choice.

We can’t wait to see the journey this series goes on, and we’re excited to be a part of it.
